Lubing the Brake/Clutchpedal Shaftby Tom SmithProbably no one has ever wanted to lube the brake and clutch pedal shaft but this is what I did to make it easier. This is a proven method, I did it to my TR6 and it works great. One of the photos shows the tools. A center punch because starting a drill on a round surface is not very easy. A 1/8" drill to drill through the pedal tube. A 1/8" center drill for the chamfer. And the attachment for the grease gun. This is easier if the pedal box is not in the car like when I did the Midget but can be done with it in also, I did the TR6 when it was in the car. Either way it only takes a few minutes.
A couple things to watch out for. One more thing, only make the chamfer deep enough that the point of the grease attachment makes contact. Too deep and the point will prevent making a seal.
