With heavy hearts, we are selling our beloved 1969 MG Midget "Woodstock". 1275 engine from possibly '72 was installed, well before my time. Was a California car, garaged here ever since. We had a lot of fun with it, doing drives and fun runs to the store. New chrome wire wheels, with new hubs. New crankshaft main bearings and big-end conrod bearings, new pushrods, tappets, and a lightly tuned street cam. Pertronix Ignitor electronic ignition. New clutch and prop shaft. New front suspension (everything but the springs) New front brakes (calipers, rotors, lines). New front dampers from Worldwide Auto Parts. Red-top Optima AGM battery, kept on battery tender since new a few years ago (this is important for Optimas). New brake and clutch master cylinders, and clutch slave. 100% silicone brake and clutch fluid. New battery tray welded in. Engine bay cleaned, primed, painted. Weber downdraft carb installed, have original SU carbs to refurbish. Very little rust - a few small areas starting underneath and in front of the doors. Paint will need to be gone over somewhat - it's a driver, not a show car (yet). We have concentrated entirely on mechanicals while we have owned it. New rear springs and urethane bushings ready to install in the back. Original heater core and several other parts in boxes. Have original fenders as well, but one of them is a little bent, and previous owner frenched over the holes, so installing them would involve some body work. Will also come with many of my car-specific tools. Haven't started it in a couple years, but it should be ready to drive with not much effort.
